Year 5 – Football Competition at Bridlington Astro
On Tuesday night, a group of year 5/6 boys went to Bridlington Astro school to participate in the inter school football competition. The competition was split into two pools : big schools and small schools. After a warm up and an explanation of how the competitions would run, the boys were keen to get started. They played 4 other teams and the results were the following:
Burlington v Martongate 0-1
Burlington v Hilderthorpe 0-0
Burlington v Bay 0-0
Burlington v New Pasture Lane 1-0
Overall Burlington scored 16 points which put the in overall joint 3rd place.
A massive well done to the boys who took part who demonstrated great teamwork and sportsmanship.
