Year 4 – DT
In Autumn Term, Year 4 began their Construction unit by first looking at a local structure, the Humber Bridge. They examined facts about the Humber Bridge and other success stories, and reviewed some familiars too, such as the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. In addition, they looked at multiple ways of joining cardboard, assessing each for structural support. Then, they applied this knowledge to designing their own bridge, which they then created from cardboard, before evaluating their design.
