Murton Park Visit – Year 4
On Thursday 28th and Friday 29th of November, Year Four attended a Roman experience day at Murton Park, York. While there, they took part in a variety of activities, from writing in Latin, to creating Roman oil lamps. In the afternoon, they took part in Roman weapons training, applying tactics they have learnt about in class to drive back an angry Celt in Tortoise formation. They finished off their day with a passing out parade, where they received their pay for the day in the form of a replica Roman coin. Staff at Murton Park commented on how well behaved and enthusiastic the children were during their stay; well done, Year Four!
