As a school we are working hard to improve our environment and help to reduce, reuse and recycle our waste. On Saturday 25th January, the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust held a beach clean on North Beach. Staff members along with Burlington pupils spent some time combing the beach for rubbish discarded by careless humans and also brought in by our tides from other areas.
The children found lots of things that didn’t belong on our beach, including all sorts of plastics, string, fishing nets and even an old car key! Well done to all those that participated in keeping our beach and our wildlife clean and safe.
