On Wednesday, 13 children travelled to Headingley stadium in Leeds. The children had the opportunity to see the brand new Emerald Stand. The unique stadium has seats looking onto the cricket ground from one side. On the opposite side of the stand it faces in the direction of the Leeds Tykes and Leeds Rhinos rugby pitch.
The children participated in 5 activities on the cricket pitch. The activities involved bowling, batting, fielding and catching. Children had the opportunity to walk onto both rugby and cricket pitches and they were lucky enough to meet professional rugby league players.
The children were well behaved and enjoyed the day. Thank you to the parents for your support.
