Pupils from Burlington Junior School’s Science Club spent an educational day at Densholme Farm with staff from Hull Children’s University, learning about renewable energy and organic farming. The children met all of the different farm animals including calves, sheep, pygmy goats and pigs and were told all about their care, even having the opportunity to feed some of them. Pupils learnt all about the plants and crops that are grown there. They also saw the windmills in action and heard about renewable energy sources. Burlington pupils had a jam packed day of science, life skills and learning about the world around us.
