Outdoor Learning Day

All the children spent a lesson outside on 18th May as part of the Outdoor Classroom Day. Tour de Yorkshire

On 28th April 2017, the whole of Burlington Junior School walked down to The Spa Bridlington to witness the start of the Tour de Yorkshire and cheer the riders on. Hockey Tournament

On 27 May, 7 Burlington pupils visited Bridlington School to compete in a hockey tournament. Burlington came up against some well-drilled teams and initially struggled. However, as the tournament commenced, the skills of the players improved and so did the score lines. Well done to all that took part, a great achievement.

Tigers Trust Football competition

On Tuesday evening 8 boys travelled to South Hunsley School with Mr Norman to take part in a Tigers Trust football competition. The competition was a six-a-side event. Each term at Burlington Junior School, the children take part in a poetry reading competition. The poems or extracts are picked for their relevance to our current topic. This term the children have been learning about William Shakespeare and were given poems, songs or extracts to recite in front of the rest of the school. [...]

Our annual Easter Parade and Decorated Egg competition has seen the competition yet again strengthen and the tension grew, as our competitors began their walk, to show off their amazing creations on our runway.
